Account and data
Delete your Bidline account
Email us from the address on your Bidline account. Put “account deletion request” in the subject and tell us the name on the account. We will verify the request before removing the account.
Request account deletionWhat we delete
- Your active sign-in and account profile, including your name, email address, contact details, verification records, finance band, and the documents you uploaded with them. The limited operational and suppression records described below are exceptions.
- Your briefs, watchlist, expressed interests, notification history, notification settings, and registered devices.
- For a buyer’s agent, the identity and pre-approval documents uploaded for client mandates. For a selling agent, unpublished listing drafts and their media.
What we de-identify
Published listings and client mandates may carry another party’s record or a bid already placed under them. We remove the account holder’s identity from those records instead of deleting the records themselves.
What we have to keep
- Your placed bids, as de-identified records. Bids sit in a tamper-evident chain that agents and vendors rely on. We remove your direct identity from them; we cannot remove the records.
- Audit and compliance records of your account activity, kept to meet Australian record-keeping obligations under a de-identified account reference after direct identity fields are removed.
- Limited account-review, evidence-review, and content-moderation notifications already sent to our restricted Slack workspace cannot be recalled and may retain your account email and role, an internal Bidline account identifier used in review-action values, an evidence summary, or a report reference, reason, subject identifier, and app surface. We retain them only where needed to complete reviews, moderate reports, protect users or the service, or meet legal obligations. Optional report details are not sent to Slack.
- If an email provider recorded a bounce or complaint, we retain a minimised suppression entry containing the email address so Bidline does not send unwanted or undeliverable messages to it. We remove the provider payload and replace its detailed reason when the account is deleted.
- Limited AWS operational logs, trace metadata, and redacted Cognito operation metadata created before deletion expire under their configured service retention settings. They do not intentionally store complete request bodies, search text, passwords, or confirmation codes.
Delete from the app
If you can still sign in, open Account, choose Delete account, read the summary created from your account, and type DELETE to confirm. Deleting your account has no effect on a contract exchanged off-platform; Bidline does not hold deposits or settlement funds.
